| These new paintings have grown out of an ongoing series that explore linear elements over fields of color. All were completed in the Spring of this year and signify a change in that there is more of an interplay between the field and the line. They are also more direct in the drawing and are made with a sequence of layers. A kind of calligraphy or handwriting emerges . Ron Rumford |
