RON RUMFORD lives and works in Philadelphia, PA. For this exhibition he will present a brand new body of work that further investigates via engraving and linocut, themes he's developed in painting over the past 3 years. In these new works the sequence of printed layers constructs the space in each work. Layers of ink and line act as a stage scrim allowing a sense of light and shadow. Scale change enhances compositional choices and widens the possibilities of reading these unique works.
He was included in the International Print Center, New York's summer exhibition, Heat, and Art of State, at the Pennsylvania Sate Museum, and Contemporary Voices at the Woodmere Art Museum, Philadelphia. |
