DINING BY DESIGN 2007
2007 marked the 10th Anniversary of DINING BY DESIGN presented by ELLE DECOR and GE MONOGRAM. Dubbed the "Cannes of Tabletop" by filmmaker John Waters, DIFFA's DINING BY DESIGN is an opportunity for various corporations and designers to showcase their creativity and talents by creating unique dining installations to ultimately accommodate their dinner guests.
Schoolhouse Gallery Owner/Director Mike Carroll collaborated with Mark Christofi Interiors for this event held on November 30 and December 1, 2007 at Boston’s Black Falcon Pier. Mr. Christofi developed his design with artists Bob Bailey and Michelle Weinberg, curated by Mr. Carroll, and with the furniture design and production firm Tall Tree Guild to produce Mark Christofi Interior’s contribution to this lavish event.
Dining by Design is produced by Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS in various US cities. DIFFA is one of the country's largest supporters of direct care for people living with HIV/AIDS and preventive education for those at risk. The Boston event’s beneficiary organization was Community Research Initiative (CRI) - an independent, nonprofit community-based organization dedicated to leading the way in HIV/AIDS clinical research. |
