| LIZ CARNEY is a Provincetown artist who paints places that are familiar to her from childhood: lobster boats and fishing tools on boats in Boston Harbor, tools and marine paints, fishermen and friends during summers in Provincetown’s Blessing of the Fleet. As a painter Carney has found her way back into this mysterious world, painting shipyards and docks as a bridge to her early memories. Carney received a B.A. in Studio Art from Smith College. She has created community driven public art projects in Boston, New York and Spain and is fascinated with the intersection of education, public art, community development and, of course, painting. |
