| Jen Bradley has been making drawings and paintings inspired by the gorillas at the Franklin Park Zoo since 1994. Bradley has managed to capture our formidable primate cousins in all their complexities translating their expressions, gestures, physical prowess, texture and tones into a collection of paintings and drawings that are powerful monuments to nature and society.
Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in the U.S and is in private collections both nationally and internationally. She received a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art in 1995. She has been awarded a C-Scape / National Seashore fellowship and a Margo Gelb Dune Shack Artist Residency. She is an establish member of the arts community in Provincetown, Ma where she currently works out of her studio. Bradley continues to make routine visits to draw at the zoo. Her work is currently represented by The Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown and Bennett Street Gallery in Atlanta, GA. |
